Miva is a popular advertising and performance marketing company that has a collection of websites, networks, and search sites that they offer people to advertiser to. They bring together advertisers and publishers very similar to how Google uses their Adsense and Adwords products.

Setting up the Miva account

To get started with the Miva setup, you want to click on the link from within your Webhostingpad billing control panel which they named the account dashboard. From there you want to go to the Specials tab and click on the Miva link. The link contains a computer cookie that provides the $50 credit when you open the account.

Next you will be taken to Miva’s signup page so you want to go ahead and get started with the process. It will ask you for general stuff like name, address, email, etc, etc…but it will also have you create your very first ad as well. Don’t worry about making it super perfect. Just have the general idea of what you want your ad to say. You can always change it later. But don’t just put something unrelated to your site because Miva does review the ad to ensure that it is within their guidelines.

The final step is to provide a payment method and determine what increment you want to deposit funds from now on. Go ahead and select the deposit amount you want to start with. Remember, whatever you deposit will go towards your advertising so pick a deposit you are comfortable starting with. This will be added to the $50 credit provided through Webhostingpad so keep that in mind.

Now, you click submit and wait for Miva to review your account. You should receive an email approving your account within an hour and at which point, the $50 ad credit should have been added to your acccount.

Using the Miva credit

Now you need to start building your campaign. At this point we can’t tell you how to use the credit as this will depend greatly on the individual websites you want to promote. But what we can say is that you should plan your campaigns carefully to get the most out of the free credit. Don’t think of it as free money but as a free investment.
