Cascading Style Sheets (CSS)

These are web based files that are used to keep a “library” of common styles and elements of the web design of a website so that the actual web pages remain as streamlined as possible.

This is a digital signature id that is generally used in SSL negotiations like in encrypting payment transactions.

Co-location

As a way for web hosting companies to defer some of the costs associated with housing and maintaining their servers, co-location refers to the sharing of physical space and certain resources in a common datacenter environment.

Content Management System (CMS)

This is a highly structured web site frame work that is customizable for managing content in a organized way.В  This framework allows for automated inclusion of articles, pages, images, and even forums depending on the CMS used.В  Some of the more popular CMS packages include Joomla and Mambo.

Cookie

These are very small files that hold information.В  Generally cookies used on the Web are designed to retrieve or store information on your web browser or local pc that the web server can use that provided details about user activity so that the information can be used for a specific purpose on the website being visited.В  For example, a cookie can be used to save your username on a website so you don’t have to type it in again when you visit the site.
