Short for electronic mail.В Email is any type of message in text or html format transmitted electronically from a sender to a recipient.В It is pretty much identical to how a physical letter is mailed out but with the noted fact that email is instantly sent and received.

Holds emails that are either sent or received similar to a post office mailbox.В Emails in an email account can be held indefinitely depending on the individual email account settings.

In order to send or receive an email, there needs to a an address that it is being sent from and sent to.
